Bones

Educator

Four Classes

Bio:

Bones (she/her) is a rope-loving, edge player bottom who joined the local Twin Cities, Minnesota kink community back in 2020. She is co-founder, educator, and moderator of Minnesota Ropesters, where the mission is to make rope education accessible no matter body type, disability, gender expression, financial status, or experience. Bones describes herself as a masochistic, dynamic, suspension rope bottom who tends to “fuck around and find out” yet understands the risks and safety precautions involved. When she’s not doing crazy rope things, she’s traveling for work, practicing on her aerial hoop, and probably getting more tattoos or finding bones.

Class name:
I'm a Beautiful Butterfly! The Butterfly Harness

Class by: Bones & Ethaerial
When: Friday, 12/5, 5:00 PM
Class Category: Bondage
Room: Studio 2, Second Level

Class description:

The Butterfly Harness is arms free, woven style harness that looks beautiful on and is suspension worthy. We will go over how to tie this harness on a partner. There is a self-tie version out there but it is slightly different from the one in this class. We will quickly go over the hitches/frictions needed and then tie it together. It is recommended to come with 3-4 thirty-foot (8 meter) hanks, and a safety cutting tool. A safe cutting tool is one that won't stab you or your partner in the event you need to cut rope. Safety shears, Leatherman Raptors, rigger's knives, or rescue hooks are all good. A pocket knife, standard scissors, tin snips, and halberds are not.

Class description:

You’ve realized you’re into being tied or tying people up. Now what? There’s so many options to choose from when it comes to rope. What’s cost effective? Do I want nylon, POSH, Hemp or Jute? What even is POSH? This class will go through the different types of rope out there, where you can find it, pros and cons of each and much more. We’ll also talk about how to care for your rope, i.e. processing/finishing and types of storing. This is a good class for those brand new to rope or those who are beginning their rope journey and not sure where to go from good old DomDepot.

We will be going through two types of Agura; a one rope version and a ground/suspension worthy version. A partner is not necessary for this type of tie. It is recommended to come with 3-4 thirty foot (8 meter) hanks, and a safety cutting tool. A safe cutting tool is one that won't stab you or your partner in the event you need to cut rope. Safety shears, Leatherman Raptors, rigger's knives, or rescue hooks are all good. A pocket knife, standard scissors, tin snips, and halberds are not.

Class by: Bones & Ethaerial
When: Saturday, 12/6, 3:15 PM
Class Category: Bondage
Room: Studio 2, Second Floor

Class description:

A simple yet very tight thigh harness, the dragon back thigh harness is a great alternative to those that can’t do the futomomo or bent leg harness. This harness is easy to tie on yourself or others so a partner is not necessary. We will quickly go over the hitches/frictions needed and then tie it together. Prepare though, it does require to be extra tight on the person being tied.

Bio:

I am a kink enthusiast with a particular taste for sharps and other forms of edge play. I was introduced to kink in 2007 and began pursuing it with gusto in 2017. I opened my shop Needle Playground in 2022 to sell my artistic needle play stencils, and have since added porcupine quills (which have been prepped specifically for play) and needle play kits! I have a passion for learning more about kink and sharing my own knowledge, and have had some wonderful opportunities to be part of the kink education community. My goal with every class is to provide information which allows individuals to develop their own risk profiles as they go through their own kinky journeys!

Though not a legal document, it can help bring focus to details of the relationship you are co-creating.

Join Dawn, co-author of Living M/s, Hearts and Collars and Lead, Follow Love, as she shares the steps that she and Daniel Belum used in designing their contract 20+ years ago. With this tool, they’ve weathered storms that could have drowned them over the years and used it to remind them that they co-created this designer relationship.

Personal Power: Empowerment Practices for Power Exchange and Living in a Disempowering World

Class by: EMBER SOLARIS
When: Saturday, 12/6, 9:00 AM
Class Category: Growth
Room: Conference I, Lower Level

Class description:

Explore the art of reclaiming your personal power, both within and beyond scenes and dynamics. This class unpacks how systemic, social, and relational disempowerment can shape our experiences of choice, consent, agency, and control, and offers tools to rebuild internal strength and resilience. Participants will learn grounded practices for self-empowerment, boundary-setting, and navigating the paradox of surrender and authority in kink while living in a world that often undermines autonomy and self sovereignty. Empowered people are more equipped to engage in kink and to move through the world, but it takes a living, breathing practice to help reclaim our power. This class is for all kink identities and roles, and you do not have to be interested in power exchange or authority transfer dynamics to attend.

Addressing Leadership Team and Organizer Burnout; A Special Support Workshop

Class by: EMBER SOLARIS
When: Saturday, 12/6, 10:45 AM
Class Category: Growth

This special workshop provides a space for leaders, event organizers, and team members to explore burnout openly and practically. Whether you’re a long-time organizer feeling the weight of responsibility or a newer leader hoping to build sustainable practices, this workshop is designed to help you reconnect to your purpose, strengthen resilience, and find solidarity with others who “get it.” Come as you are. Leave with strategies, support, and a reminder: you don’t have to carry the weight alone.

Class description:

This class is all about the Agura, the Japanese term for “sitting cross-legged”, leg harness that is easy to tie on yourself or others.

Bare as you dare Yoga

8:00 AM, Saturday morning in the top floor of the Health Center

About Jes:

I provide a powerful and balanced flow filled with space and fun. My ultimate goal in a Yoga class is to empower students to discover their own strengths. One of the main focuses behind yoga is to safely explore your body’s ability by gently pushing yourself close to your limit. This powerful statement translates to other areas of our lives as well (I think the Kink community can relate to this!) Through concentrating on our breath, and our connection to ourselves, others in the room and the world at large, we will dive deeper into how our body feels and what it's capable of. A fun and grounding practice, for all!

Root Down Nutrition

Our mission is to live healthy, have fun, be the best weird little human possible, and empower and serve our community in a safe and open space. We provide first and foremost 1:1 coaching on your dietary & nutritional needs to help you reach your goals. We also serve in-house three different options.

1. Energizing Vitamin Teas. With varying levels of caffeine, very little calories, and little to no sugar, our drinks help you with clarity, focus, & stamina -- not to mention healthy energy with no crash!

2. Protein Coffee. Low calorie, caffeine coffee, and yes PROTEIN! Our bodies need more protein and fewer carbs/fats than the standard American diet provides. We help you bridge that gap.

3. The star of the show: Smoothies. These have protein, AND they taste delicious. Most of our smoothies weigh-in around 200 calories only, 24g of Protein and they actually taste good. Like.... really good.
